The Fairfield Cultural Alliance (FCA) is dedicated to promoting, supporting, and advocating for the arts, culture, history, science, and recreation in Fairfield and greater Jefferson County, Iowa. As the administrator of Fairfield’s state-designated Cultural District, FCA plays a central role in preserving the city’s unique identity—celebrating its rich heritage while encouraging innovation and growth.

Our deep connection to the Cultural District allows us to bridge tradition with modern expression, helping ensure that Fairfield remains a dynamic and inspiring place to live, work, and create. At its core, FCA is a catalyst for meaningful connection—fostering creativity, mentorship, and a shared sense of cultural pride.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Fairfield Cultural Alliance is to enhance the quality of life in Fairfield, Iowa, by fostering partnerships and encouraging investment in arts, culture, and economic development—with a special emphasis on supporting the Cultural District.

Founded in 2006, the Fairfield Cultural Alliance emerged from a collective of community members committed to preserving and enriching Fairfield’s cultural landscape. Since then, FCA has helped reinvigorate the Cultural District, supporting artists through education, grant opportunities, mentorship, and a strong network of collaborative resources.
